Haeven is a diligent and ambitious storyteller from Austin, Texas pairing her passion for people with her love for writing. When she’s not writing, designing or snapping shots behind the camera, she enjoys long walks, spending time with my cats (Bindi and Jax!), yoga, hiking and trying local food. She also teaches English as a Second Language classes for a local nonprofit.

Haeven is an award-winning journalist and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University. She worked as a reporter for The Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and AM New York. Her experience in helping communities goes beyond journalism with her work in higher education, supporting low-income and first-generation community college students to navigate barriers to access.
